This year’s MESA lineup has been updated with a modern cut, more padding and even softer fabrics for added style and comfort. We’re thrilled to present the Henry MESA as part of this lineup. Through its innovative use of Merino wool, the Henry MESA holds the honor of being the FIRST AND ONLY car seat to pass federal safety standards without the use of fire retardant chemicals.
You can’t sell a car seat without it first passing federal fire safety testing. (FMVSS302 to be exact.) While our MESA lineup meets flammability standards without the brominated and chlorinated chemicals favored by traditional manufacturers, the Henry MESA takes things a step further through its use of Merino wool. The Merino wool fabric used has been OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified.
Merino wool is finer and supplier than regular wool, and its natural flame resistance makes it a powerhouse. When exposed to flame, it resists catching fire where artificial fibers may melt or burn. The Henry MESA’s high-grade Merino wool blend is bonded to foam. It is the first and only car seat to meet federal flammability standards without any fire retardant chemicals at all — making it the only naturally flame resistant car seat on the market today.
We can’t say enough good things about Henry MESA’s Merino wool blend. Its wicking properties help keep babies cool on hot days and warm on cool days. It’s gorgeous, gender-neutral blue marl fabric exudes calmness while reassuring you with its safety standards. Plus, it coordinates perfectly with the Henry VISTA. Yes, that’s a not-so-subtle hint.

SMARTSsecure System:
MESA is the only infant car seat with a unique technology utilizing a tightness indicator and self-retracting LATCH connectors for fast, accurate and easy installation. An indicator window changes from red to green for visual confirmation the base has been installed correctly every time. This ease of installation is one contributing factor for MESA’s NHSTA 5 star rating.
Adjustable headrest with Side Impact Protection
MESA’s adjustable headrest is reinforced with EPP foam providing added protection for your child. The integrated design keeps an infant’s head stationary during a side-impact collision, resulting in up to 4X better test scores than other premium infant car seat brands.
No-rethread harness
